PROTECT HOH XIL

A Shawl moven of cashmere of Tibetan antelopes (Sha Tushen) can be sold for 35,000-50,000 US dollors in European or American black markets. But one ordinary Sha Tushen is at the expense of the death of three adult Tibetan antelopes.

Due to illegal hunting and trafficking, Tibeten antelopes are now on the edge of extinction. Many gold seekers joined in hunting wild animals. They carried picks and luggage on their shoulders, took hunting rifles and entered Hoh Xil. It seemed as if the history of initial development of San Francisco two centuries ago repeated. Their behaviors directly damaged the ecological environment of Hoh Xil and endangered the existence of wild animals. To save Tibetan antelopes and protect the extremely vulnerable ecological environment of Hoh Xil, the famous anti-illegal-hunting team named "Wild Yak Team", struggled hard in this area for 8 years. the first and second head of the team, fought until their death. At present, a nature preservation zone has been established in Hoh Xil, and this team is still fighting under extreme difficult conditions.

A remarkably beautiful and touching documentary of one of the earth's most remarkable creatures the chiru.

The birth of this documentary is a wonder. The cinematographer spent ten years following and recording the life of the endangered Tibetan antelopes. In the days of "Dancing with Death", many team members lost their lives, while the lucky ones who survived managed to find the answer to a world mystery--the breeding habitat of the Tibetan antelopes, as well as record the unique natural landscape of the once unknown "Third Pole ".

Every summer, as mother antelopes taking their newly born babies southward home, many of them get killed halfway by the poachers who are armed to teeth. Thousands of tibetan antelopes’ remains are found all over Hoh Xil. The cinematographer joined the famous Wild Yak Team in their anti-poaching actions to protect and rescue the Tibetan antelopes. They launched a life-and-death struggle with the frenzied poachers on the "Land Without Human Beings" of Hoh Xil. The cinematographer also took takes a record faithfully of the last harsh mountain patrol of the team before it was disbanded.

Finding clues to a world mystery Documentary 20 years' scientific expedition and recording, Revealing a 200 years' mystery in the animal kingdom--the breeding habitat of the Tibetan antelopes.
