The city is famous for its perfume.</font></p> <p align="left"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Economy: By the end of 2001, over 70 countries and regions of China had invested in over 27,000 projects in Shenzhen. American Companies residing on the Fortune 500 list began six new large projects in 2003 and increased their investment share in 10 others.
